I keep getting random Access Violations on a system running Windows XP Professional with a ASUS GeForce 2 MX 400 64MB RAM, and 256MB SDRAM @ 100MHz. They are random, I can be playing for hours and have no problems then suddenly it will crash with no warning. Makes progress staggered and is annoying. Any help is appreciated.

Any references in the error message like DX*.* or mss32.dll?

Well it's another Anonymous :

- I have the same problem on Win2K (english version of Gothic) .
- Disabling the Music reduced the problem freqency but didn't solved it .
(Athlon 1700+ , SoundBlaser Live! , 512MB , ASUS A7V133, GeForce 2 MX400)
From what I can tell from VIA forums it looks like it ether VIA + SBLive! or VIA + new detonators issue.

Sounds realistic to me. Many people here play Gothic on similar systems without problems.
