Shield and armour question |
|
I'm playing a nightblade at the moment and they only have block as a misc skill... is there any reason not to use a shield anyway, like do you get a penalty for using a shield in any way?
Also:
chitin armour and imperial studded leather have the same protection and durability, but the chitin is lighter... so should i just go for that, or are there any other advantages to the imperial stuff (like ppl dont like you dressed up as a bug)?
thanks in advance |

First, the manual explains skills pretty well. There is no difference in using misc vs major skills. Only gain from using those skills will be different. I.e. you will need to block twice as much to gain equal amount of experience with block as misc vs major. Misc skills also don't contribute towards level gaining (but do add to attribute multipliers).
There are 3 armor types in the game. Light, medium and heavy. You have a corresponding skill for each. Your skill will modify the base of the armor you don.
BTW, before you start min-maxing your character with numbers... don't. This game is not a very good hack and slash number game. Just think what your character would want to wear and stick with it. Regardless of numbers. _________________ (@) |
