ultima 7 sound

will i miss out on anything important with sound effects turned off and only music and speech?

anyone have any suggestions for improveing the sound other then with the midi upgrade patch? while the music is great being forced to use a roland soundcard makes the game unplayable with sfx on.

and finally was the sword of fire always annoying? anytime i equip that thing no matter what sound set up i use it drives me nuts.

Don't remember an annoying sound for the fire sword...

Anyway, try using Exult. With it you can choose between the normal midi sound effects or recorded roland ones.
