Changing default camera view? |
|
Is it possible to change the default camera view in gothic 2? The current one is too annoying. The camera is set right behind the PC so he blocks half of the stuff in front of you. I know you can use the mouse to change the camera but whenever you switch your weapon, pick up loot or talk, it changes back to being behind the PC.... that really gets annoying after a while. Is it possible to change the default camera so its about 45 degrees above your head and doesnt switch whenever you do something?
Heres a crappy diagram of what i mean... X is the character and arrows show the camera view.

(EDIT: ignore the dots... spaces dont work)
Thanks for any help. |

Hey Vlad875,
If you want more than zooming in and out as suggested by Graham 2, (also +/- on keyboard) there is also the option of changing the Gothic ini file but be careful? - - - - :-
zDontSwitchToThirdPerson=0
; ... enables (1) or disables (0) auto-switching the camera to 3rd person during dialogs, interactions and combat.
; Attention: seriously affects gameplay if setting to "1", as everything can be done in 1st person, untested feature but fun

Nah those dont really help much. If i zoom out its still kinda hard to see and target the stuff in front of you. And i tried changing "zDontSwitchToThirdPerson=0" line in gothic.ini but that didnt do anything. Oh well.... |
