To the best of my knowledge, the only thing dying does is to force the character to go on a treasure hunt once resurected. |

If you are speaking about single player than no, if you have someone who resurects you, you just pick them up. If you are talking about multiplayer then I do not know. |

Multiplayer you can do a variety of things. Your stats are unaffected by death, but it will set you back some time. You can get revived or resurrected by another character, find a res schrine, or wait it out. Depending on the server settings you will drop all, inventory only (not what you're wearing) or nothing when you die.

The excellent feature that I like about dying/resurrecting, is that once your guy is alive again, when you select just them and hit the "Z" key, not only does the character pick up the items (his + any others lying around) they actually re-equip themselves with the kit they had before they died. This saves a lot of time doing the obvious........great touch.
Also, I have a couple of summon creature spells and use them regularly. I didn't know if you could heal them so I tried it and you can heal them. Obviously they time-out but, this is yet another nice touch.
Excellent game all round....no complaints.
Regards,

They kind of explode out of your character and you have to pick them all back up.
It's nothing compared to when a donkey gets killed though. _________________ ''Perhaps I'm old and tired but I always think that the chances of finding out what really is going on are so absurdly remote that the only thing to do is to say hang the sense of it and just keep yourself occupied.
