Illarion Revisited

We were able to get some attention here at RPGDot (Thanks, Ekim!) a while back, and we're more than thankful for that, but I felt it was time for us to show up again and speak about Illarion because so many changes have happened since then.

For those of you who haven't heard of Illarion, this should bring you up to date:

Illarion is an MMORPG that focuses on actual roleplaying and character interaction. That being said, everything in Illarion is built to facilitate roleplaying. Even the villages on the map (of which there are several: Trollsbane, Varshikar, Silverbrand, Tol Vanima, Blood Territory, and Greenbriar) were founded and built by player-characters. Most of all, the game is entirely free and will always be so.

Now that you're with us, let's talk about some of the major updates. A new map has been created that expands the size of the island exponentially. Many, many new items can be created by smiths, tailors, carpenters, etc.. Also, each race (of which in Illarion there are: Humans, Dwarves, Elves, Halflings, Lizardmen, and Orcs) has their own language so they can speak in private to eachother, now. There is yet more. This latest update was so massive that it would be hard to put down everything we did.

More updates are on the way, including new tiles that make the map look more lifelike and less blocky. Also, the bardic magic and priest magic systems that we've been talking about making for so long are just around the corner and will be implemented in short order.

If you haven't played Illarion before, you have nothing to lose in trying it. If you have played it before, come and see what we've changed.
