Finaly some good news, hi every one, i been waiting for that game sence i get Gothic first version damn that game take a lot of great time from my live, and i not regret about it, damn that game i just love it to bad it was no multyplay game support but still that game rule, i finish it in one long long long breath, then start againe and try different chars ability i am one of biggest fan of Gothic, cant wait to get G2.
When when when we can try it??
I just would like to add BIG THNX to designers of that greatest game, it was like RPG with totaly new game play, very interesting story line even if it in close area, but that area big enough to spend a lot of hours adventuring around, awesome graphics, very good idea about skills, i mean when you get new sword skill you getting new moves i like that dinamic in game, i was saw some review which gives low rating to that game only beacose of control but i think if you realy like and want to play you can get over any control configs.
I also would like to add some thing that my be not all here will agree with me, but i think if that game will have ( i know it will not) but if it will have multyplayer support it will beet NWN in that ratings, NWN my next game which i was been waiting for long time, but Gothic2 stand in second place only beacose of no multyplaeyr, anyway guys you did great job with first version and if you got same team i shure you doing even better with second version and i Promice you i be one of the first who gone buy that game and i will enjoy it over and over againe.
DAMN now i gone have another period of sleepless nights , first was beacose of NWN now beacose of G2

First, I hope there isn't MP in Gothic 2. I want a strong SP game, not an average SP game with weak MP elements thrown in for giggles.
Second, in reality, I doubt Gothic 2 will stand up to NWN in terms of ratings and sales. Even if Bioware botches NWN it will still probably out-perform Gothic 2 in sales. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

val, you just hit it right on the head. a decent game with losts of hype and a big advertising bankroll will always out sell a great game (like gothic) which doesn't have the advertising budget to back it up. it is sad that all the mindless clones out there run out and buy a game just because it has been hyped up. i think the only way to really find out if a game is note worthy or not is to watch the posting boards and listen to fellow gamers. people who are not financially invested in a project have the latitude to be honest and unbiased (fanboys excluded).
by the way, i still think that mp just wouldn't work in a game like gothic! there is too much vested in the story line to turn it loose into a mp game. _________________ "The origin of things, if things have an origin, cannot be revealed to me, if revealed at all, until I have travelled very far from it, and many revolutions of the sun must precede my first dawn. I agree completely. The storyline would be watered down if there was an MP element. Your imersion factor into the game would also be ruined. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

That is what I think if you just add a little more to the list. _________________ There once was a youngster, DzD

Hmm.. it also depends on how much money is invested into the project. Remember folks, the NWN team is probably 3 or 4 times the size of the Gothic team, so making both a good MP, and a good SP game for the NWN team is possible - something which isn't possible for the Gothic team.
And BTW, hi, I'm back for a while! |

Thanks! Can't remember seeing you around here the last time I was here; that means that you must be pretty up to date on Gothic 2, so tell me, is there any major changes on the news-front?
Is it still coming out before 2003? Still running on the same graphic-engine as Gothic 1? Anything new on character development in the game?
Nice to meet you by the way! |

Your old character is lost in Gothic 1 (no you've to begin with a new one!)

Hi Maylander! Long time no see--how are you?!? _________________ ''Perhaps I'm old and tired but I always think that the chances of finding out what really is going on are so absurdly remote that the only thing to do is to say hang the sense of it and just keep yourself occupied. Hey folks! Of course I still remember you guys!
The reason I left was lots and lots of work, but I am now nearing the end of the year at school(still a student you know).. exams and so on takes a lot of time.
BTW: I've seen some of the latest screen shots, and I must say, they look far better than the first ones we saw about 2 months ago..
Good to be back! |

Hello everyone
@ NGRU_IRBIS
Thanks for the roses.
@ maylander
our core team is less than 15 people
its true, with a team of that size, we are not capable of creating
a multiplayer compatible singleplayer game.
its very much work to do a thing like this (when u want to make it good)
so u will get a good SP instead of SP+MP
we do our best for u
