Hello guys!
Im new and I have just discovered Gothic two days ago, looks like an amazing
game but I'm having some serious difficulties with the cutscenes, like the intro etc...it happens with a few of my games ( i just get a dark screen ).
My question is this ; Can I still play Gothic without seeing the cutscenes/movies, or will I be missing out on some important info.
Just how important are they?
Than you,
Ian

Welcome to the Dot firt thing.
I think you can play the game without them, as far as info goes it will make the story a little cut up for you. But you will be told by npc as to what you need to do next.
Post your specs for your rig and maybe someone will have an idea that may help. _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=

Welcome to the forums!
You can watch the FMVs externally with the Bink player from www.radgametools.com . Playing without Intro and extro isnīt really fun, IMHO.
System specs could indeed be useful. Only a handful people had problems with the FMVs. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

OK thanks for the replies and the warm welcome!
I wont even bother you with my system specs, I'm getting a new video card soon anyways. Hopefully all my woes will then be gone.
Its good to know I can still play the game though.
Take care,
