After you press the switch, you should hear a grinding noise. Search around the room for a newly opened tomb.

Here is a spoiler from my walkthrough.

It looked better in a terminal font.

Orc Graveyard Crypt Room
This large room has two orc graveyard scouts patrolling it and a dead templar
in the back. There are four lunanaceae and three solanaceae in the room.
Look in the middle and along the right wall by the light holders. You will
also see that there are six crypts on the left and eight more on the right,
six of which you can enter. The two sides are split by the entrance cave
from the OW and the exit cave which goes deeper in.
OrcScoutGyd Lev=18 Life=200 Prot=50 Mel=75
Only encountered in the Orc Graveyard, these are the weakest of the fighting
orcs. Melee weapons are best with these. A strong bow will kill them, but
they are mostly in groups. The beginning spells barely hurt them. There are
18 orc graveyard scouts in the game.
TPL_1445 Amb=13 Lev=17 Life=5 Prot=45 Mel=88 (SittingDuck)
Like the templar on the outside, this guy will be dead by the time you find
him.
Locked Crypts
The switch to open the three locked crypts on the right is located to the
back of the room. Look at the second to last left crypt. This switch opens
the 3rd Rt Crypt. The switch there opens the 1st Rt Crypt. And the switch in
there opens the 2nd Rt Crypt. The switch to open the locked crypt on the
left is located in the crypt above it. The 4th Lt Crypt just above the 5th
Lt Crypt has nothing inside. The 6th Lt Crypt, near the big light holder,
has two empty mummies inside. You can get in with the right transform spell.
Grave Robber Booty
There are eight mushrooms in the 12 crypts. The 36 mummies contain:
Jewelry: ring of strength Scrolls: Potions:
ring of life fireball 12 Essence of healing
amulet of magic 4 storm of fire 9 extract of healing
amulet of purification 4 healing 4 elixir of healing
ring of flame protection 3 fire bolt 5 essence of magic
ring of ore skin 5 extract of magic
amulet of power 3 elixir of magic
To get stuff from a mummy, stand if front of it and then use it.
