I don't know if i understood right but i think you have the wrong CD inserted. Try the other CD's. If that's not it then maybe something is wrong with your CD-Rom (Try some other game to check). The other thing is that something may be wrong with your CD's.

Well, then I really don't know what would be the problem. Maybe your CD's aren't working. Try contacting the store where you bought the game. Or wait for other more troubleshooting members of RPGDot to show up.

Not necessarly (sp?) but yes. Moderators here could probably help you (not guaranteed). But other members can sometimes (many times) offer you the same amount of help than Moderators.

O.k Erik1,

Firstly, would you insert the "play" cd, then if it does not auto-start could you report back here weather you could or could not "run", by locating Gothic2-setup.exe, on that cd ?

Reboot your machine. Turn it completely off for a minute. Then use the Windows Explorer or a better program like one of the many ... Commander clones to examine the files on the CD. One of the CDs will have a setup.exe in its root.

The others are much better at this then I am, but is the cd scratched? Is your virus protection turned off? What OS are you using? If windows xp, did you try using the run feature and type in the drive and Gothic2-setup.exe?
