Exept for the football, that sounds almost like me. And it sounds pretty sad too

I work for the tax office (officially now- start on the 20th) so the sadness continues.

But I do love Aussie Rules, reading watching movies and playing with my cats. I'm not helping my case.... I think I'll just go now.

And it's more than a second missing- there are bits where parts of the scene have been turned around and more than 1 second is missing.

@Dafid Both ways are correct, it’s just a matter of preference. Like many people would spell Griffon the Greek way, while I would spell it the Assyrian way Gryphon, because the Assyrians had the Gryphon first. I believe Jaz once said that the spelling Ork came first.

@Dafid - I don't know which spelling came first, and to be true, I don't care. Anyway, both are in use, and I prefer 'ork', and not just because the Orkworld creators like it better. Another valid spelling would be 'yrch' (at least if you happenend to be an elf).

@Roach: My preferred spelling of griffon/gryphon is 'Greif' .

I just saw it a 4th time... and my God, I picked up some errors...

There were only 3, but I won't tell you them.

I suppose there were only 2 I spotted, but uh, one of them happened twice.

1) Helm's Deep seen: an extra was 'shooting' his bow, but no CGI arrows were flying forth. He shot two 'blanks' before the scene changed.

and

2) Gandalf, while walking into the Golden Hall, has his staff 'behind' him in all but one of the scenes, where it was at his side.

Anyone else notice

They never call Aragorn Strider in the movies. Didn't they call him that all the time in the books?

Movie views

That scene with Aragorn and Arwen was pointless. What a waste of opportunity to tell the story. Helms deep was poorly done also but hey it's overall a good movie and worth seeing. Nothing can replace the visions you conjur up yourself when you read the books.

They call him Strider in the first movie before they know he is Aragorn.. Same as in the books.

Sam still refers to him as Strider. At least at the end of FotR. Don't know about TTT though. I'd have to watch it again and listen for it.

Aragorn and Arwen

I have actually found a few references to Aragorn and Arwen in Fellowship of the Ring. But still haven't seen any dream sequences. Nothing more than two momentary scenes. One in Rivendell. Nothing like the movie at all. So many other things could have been added.. At least it wasn't like Starship Troopers, a complete travesty.

If I remember well I've read in http://www.tolkien-movies.com that the scene of aragorn and arwen was made only to explain how their story would end.
