Vampires

Does any one know or have any information about Vampires in Oblivion? I didnt play Morrowind at all because i didnt like it but people said in the game theres vampires and if you get bitten by one you become a vampire is this true?

When you do become a vampire do you actually look like one or is it just a few crappy stat changes or something like that? and is it perm?

Just wondering if this is in Oblivion if i could become a vampire in Oblivion i would of course if it really changes you're appearence fangs red eyes something cool and sinister like that.

I rememeber in that 20min dvd he says something about Vampires going threw the window and doing there thing thats all ive heard of it.

So any one have any info on this or screens shots etc?

Its been a long since i played morrowind, but what you said is mostly true. It increased some stats and decreased others.I can't really recall whether it had any effect on your character's looks. However npcs who were vampires definitely appeared different from non-vampires.

To become a vampire one had to let them "bite".With luck you catched the infection.Races with strong resistance against common diseases had harder time getting the vampire-infection.Also once you were infected, you had 2-3 days before you were transformed a vampire.Curing it during this phase was easy, because the vampirism was just a common disease. However if you ran out of time, or just didn't want the cure, there was hardly any way to get rid of it - besides the acient and difficult ritual in some daedra shrine...

Vampirism naturally had many down-sides.Obviously people very much disliked you and almost none of them wanted to talk to you. Also like in the movies, sunlight is acid for vampires, same goes with silver weapons. If i remember correctly you had to feed, but this part was just lame.Your character just casted a feed spell, so there were not any cool animations for sucking blood...

Developers haven't said much about the vampires in Oblivion aside the comment that they are there.Currently nobody knows expect Benthesa. But I'm quite certain, that devs have made few cool improvents in this area too.
