Kinda strange behaviour, personally G2 for me has run on every machine I have installed it on. You have enough HD space for temp files and such (should have probably, since it's new PC as you say)? Enough free memory for the G2 to load it's data (G2 loads A LOT of data)? Maybe you have too many different background programs running, try to kill off some what you don't need and check then again. Sound card working properly? DirectX installed and working properly (i.e. did you run DX tests to verify that it works OK)?

i have waited for like 8 minutes and i finally got it to play, but the game was very choppy, and like the movie wouldnt play, so gay. and i exited out of the game to see it if would finally start up fine, and it didnt. i waited 15 minutes this time and it still wouldnt play again. maybe if i do close out of some background programs, but still, this has to be the funkiest game i have ever installed, i almost just wanna like sell it now so i wont have to deal with it. im at school writing this right now, so when i get home, i will try all of your alls opinions on what i should do, and maybe get my computer wiz friend to come over and to work on it. thank u all very much for the help.!!!

Is it a GeForce4 MX? It's the most problematic card, I think. The game runs well in my GF3 FX.

I recommend you ask Gorath about this. He helped me replace a VSDF (or something like that) file that got the game to work. Now granted, I still have to wait about three minutes for the game to start up, but it works now.

I think you can get the VDFSinit.exe from nico's site:-

Try here:-- http://www.bendlins.de/nico/

When you run the program, it will take a while, you have to wait.

@afireinside- you could private message him (a feature of these forums), but I think Wulf has the right idea.

You shouldnīt have told him to contact me directly. I absolutely hate mails or PMs with requests for tech support or in-game questions. Itīs a waste of time. Forum posts are seen by more people.

And now this thread goes were it belongs.

Sorry about that. I didn't know you hate tech-related PMs.

No problem. You know, these mails get pretty annoying when you get 3 of them every day. Many people donīt understand why I donīt want to spend 10 minutes on their problem.

O.k. Gorath,

Message received and well understood, we will try to manage on our own, but sometimes we just cannot, and we need our leader to shine the torch of enlightenment through the dense mist.
