Respawn

One thing I really liked about Gothic 1 was that after you killed your enemys, they didnt come back. Except of course when you finished a chapter. I hope they do the samething in 2. Morrowind's creatures continue to reappear each time you go in an out of house for example. This I very much dont like.

Yes, and PB, please make sure that you don't abuse a monster, like those sinful Cliff Racers.

I agree with you; I HATE respawning. Take BG1 for instance, where you couldn't go 10 meters to the left, and back again without being attacked!

I am glad they "almost" removed the respawning in BG2, and I hope Gothic 2 will have the same kind of respawning as Gothic 1.

Itīs only slightly wrong.

hundert is German for (one)hundred. Plural is 'hundert<i>e</i>' if you are not talking about a specific number. For exact numbers you have to count precisely in front of the hundert and leave out the <i>e</i>, for example dreihundert (300).

Playing the Gothic German demo was reason enough to convince me to retake my German studies!

Dreihundert? "Drei hundert" ist nicht richtig? Ich bin nicht Deutch, aber ich spreche Deutch.

My German skills aren't that impressive, I know I know.

I also agree that tons and tons of monsters aren't very realistic.. I mean, how can farmers, and so on even exist in a world where there's monsters EVERYWHERE?

I like it the way it is in Gothic 1, and I hope they make it the same way, but with a bigger world(which leads to more monsters, of course).

It's 'Dreihundert' and 'Deutsch'. I like it when people speak other languages besides their native one .

Monsters rarely respawn in real life (unless you count politicians as monsters ), so I was pretty content with what they did in Gothic. I doubt they'll change the spawning mechanisms for GII.

Yeah... I liked Gothic's respawn rate. But there also must be some way to bring on re-spawning for those crazies who want millions of experience points and build themselves like a tank.

I even forgot the Deut"S"ch.. wops..

Ever played Baldur's Gate 1? If you have, then try to remember what it was like inside the Firewine Bridge Dungeon: The Kobolds there respawns A LOT.. I only bothered going through that dungeon once, and the respawning made me freak out a couple of times. Any game with respawning like that will instantly get a -1 penalty in if I'm the gametester.
