...perhaps judging from your Daggerfall experience?

I would have said Khajit since I always played them in Daggerfall, but I read somewhere that you can't play one of the more human-like (or rather, elvish-looking) ohmes, so I guess it'll be an Imperial for me this time around.

I like the Argonians. The Khjat are cool, too... and both are back.

But maybe I'll play an Orc first because they're new to Morrowmind.

Right, an orc would be interesting to play as well!

I think I'll probably play a high elf. Though an Argonian might be cool too.

I'm going with a high elf too, no matter what.

Kajiits make excellent thieves... so a Kittie is the way I'm going...

First time through I'll play as an Imperial. If the game turns out to be good though and I play it again....maybe an Orc the 2nd time.

I've gotten a better picture of what I'll play:

High Elf

Name- pending

Attributes:
STR- Little
INT- Huge
WIL- Huge
AGI- Medium
EDU- Medium
PER- Medium
SPD- Little
LCK- Little

MAJOR
Destruction
Conjuration
Light Armour
Alteration
Restoration

MINOR
Security
Mysticism
Illusion
Block
Enchant

Birthsign: Mage

I have never played an Elder Scrolls game before, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

(Will the almost all magic layout be a problem?)

The first time around I will play the fighter type. Just to get to know the game.
If I like that road I'll stick with it.
If I feel I'm missing something, after I have gotten used to the game controls and all, I'll probably choose a mage type class to get to know that side of the game.

Thieving sounds cool but I've never seen a game that actually made that choice a viable one...(ok, apart from the game Thief ofcourse )
Most of the time Thiefs are just too weak and you're better off playing as a fighter of mage.
But who knows? Morrowind might be that perfect game where you can actually play *ANY* way you want.
In that case I might have different games running to see what playing style I like best.

EDIT: forgot to mention the actual races I would play
For a fighter I'd probably choose a Nord or Imperial. Nord for a mercanry type fighter and an Imperial for the sort of paladin fighter.
For a mage I'd choose a High elf or a Dark Elf. (good mage or evil mage)
A thief will be Khajit most likely.

As a warrior, with little willpower, I'd have the Atronach Birthsign, so half the spells shot at me would replenish my magicka.
Attacking Mage: I...can't seem...to...hurt you.
You: *Smash*

Most people like to be something different than what they are. They want to play a different role in the world. I prefer to play my role in a different world. Being that, I'll be of a human race, warrior type with good knowledge in the magic arts.

I will never play a beast race. Don'r like them, don't do my style. I'll try also being an elf, and maybe an orc.

I had one incredible Khajiit battlemage (!) in Daggerfall, he was my favorite character. But this time around everything will be different, I guess .

I don't know the races, but elf sounds fun! I tried to find Daggerfall, but they don't have it at CompUSA. I haven't looked online yet. Does anyone know if it will run under Win2K?

Hmm, Daggerfall used to be abandonware, but I can no longer find it. When I did play it briefly, I was able to run it on XP.
