K, I recently formatted my hard drive, reloaded gothic, and all of a sudden its REAL choppy. I seriously doubt its my system:
1.2 AMD Athlon
GeForce3 Ti 200
512 MB SDRAM
Sound Blaster live 5.1 Platinum
MSI K7T Turbo Limited
Ive tried lowering the graphics to their lowest, still does the same thing. This is really ruining the best game Ive ever played. Anyone else had the same problem? |

Set your virtual memory to 500 mb. Min and max should both be 500. Don't let Windows control it.
Gothic is graphic and sound intensive. It is a very large world.

type 'toggle frame' in the console to check the framerate. You should get 20fps almost independent of resolution and details.
If Gothic runs choppy on your system you are standing on the brakes somewhere. |

Yea, Ive actually got my VM set at double my ram for min and max. I dont know why its doing this. Its NOT my system, because all of my other games run flawlessly. Like I said in my above post, I have even lowered the graphics AND the resolution to their absolute lowest and it was still choppy. Im friggin baffled. |
