i've been trying to get into the sect but i cant seem to find a sleep spell. where can i pick one up? |

There is only 1 way that you can get the Sleep spell so early in the game.
You have to go to Baal Orun. Do him a favour, then when he asks you if you want a reward, say "I want the spell scroll". He'll give you the sleep spell.
If you want to go find the spell, then you have to go into Orc Territory. This is definitly not recommended. You might be able to buy it this early in the game... But don't count on it. |

you get the sleep spell from the one Baal that is standing in front of those guys mashing the weed in the barrels. You get it from him when you get the one guy who hangs out at the weed shop smoking the bong constantly to take the one dudes place. Then he says he trusts you and he will give you the sleep potion, then go w/ that potion over to Baal Cadar, who is underneath the platform with the guys swinging their swords and put one of his guys to sleep with it, thus earning his respect as well.

the guy smoking weed refused to head over, and now won't talk to me. it just says END. how can i get him to leave? (templars didn't like it when i tried to pursade him with my sword) |

You have to beat the hell out of him. Sometimes your weapon will have to do the talking with people that refuse to listen to reason. He's forced his "partner" to work for 2 straight days with no break, wouldn't you want to kick the shit out of him as well? |
