Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver? |
|
Friend of mine asked me about it (she wants to have it), but since I never played I had no clue what is it about or even how old is this game? Any of you has some fast info, I appreciate it. _________________ Money - An article which may be used as a universal passport to everywhere except heaven, and as a universal provider of everything except happiness. |

Soul Reaver is from '99... it's third person like Tomb Raider, an action/adventure actually, with tricky puzzles, not so tricky combat and a very sweet protagonist. I loved that game, especially because of the necessity to change dimensions from time to time (Raziel, the protagonist, walks two planes of existence at the same time and has to switch from one plane to the other in some cases to solve puzzles).
The only problem with the game - it wasn't XP-compatible, neither was the follow-up title. At least I didn't get either to run under XP, no matter which trick I used.
You might want to look into the Vampire forum - the Legacy of Kain games are covered there, too. |

I loved the first one. I played it on my Win98 machine and it played fine. I never found a PC version of the second game.
If your friend would like to test it before buying, then she can download the demo here. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

Soul Reaver is easily one of my favorite games of all time... right from the awesome intro it didn't let me go until I was finished. Raziel is probably my favorite 'forced protagonist' ever. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi

Thank you all for replays, I knew I wouldn't be with pc access for 24 hr after posting so this is great way to make "research"
I'm surprised that this game has so many good words and yet I didn't hear about it? The question remains now only where to buy it? _________________ Money - An article which may be used as a universal passport to everywhere except heaven, and as a universal provider of everything except happiness. |
