Geforce3/Pixel Shading Strange Behavior

All the water in Morrowind looks like it is boiling to me. It reflects somewhat okay the surroundings but it still looks boiling/popping.

Also, when I enter the water, I get no ripples or anything.

Any suggestions? Thanks! I've tweaked my Geforce3 with RivaTuner so something may be set that shouldn't be. Although, I tried running the game au naturale and this BOILING WATER problem was still happening.

Thanks!

Try installing a different video driver. I ran 3D Mark SE and the pixel shading looked really screwed up. I changed the driver and the problem was corrected. What card do you have? I was using a GeForce 3 Hercules 3D Prophet.

I have a GeForce3 Ti200 (Visiontek) with Detenator 28.32 drivers.

I'm also running XP Professional as well.

Any more advice? =)

I am running XP pro also. Hey, can you try running the 3D Mark SE benchmark? One of the test specifically test the functionality and speed of the pixel shader. You would be able to see if works with that... and that will help narrow down what the problem is.

I think you can find it at www.madonion.com

It works just fine on 3dMark 2001 SE.....just checked again. Damn.

It's just something with Morrowind. Unless, MadOnion's software somehow overrides my INI setting for my GeForce3 and changes something that makes it work.

Looks beautiful on the 3DMark2001 program. Still looks boiling in Morrowind.

Dang.
