Am I becoming a vampire?

I went to sleep (in the game), and woke up to this:

"I had a disturbing dream. I can only recall one part. A tall figure with a golden mask led me among the dead as though through a wedding celebration. I heard many voices, but no lips moved. I strained to breathe, but my chest didn't move. The tall figure spoke with each figure as he passed among them, laughing and joking, as if they were alive, but they made no reply. I tried to cry out, but without breath, my tongue fluttered in vain."

I've gotten into the lazy habit of taking naps out in the wilderness, to save potions. Did I get bitten while I was asleep? I don't know if I'm ready for this yet! I recall a book in one of the bookshops mentioning a 72 hour "incubation period", and something about going to a temple.

I intend to save it here and see what happens after 72 hours, just for the heck of it, but if there's a cure right now, I want to go back and try to get rid of it.

Supposedly, if you go to a shrine (any shrine) and pray in the first 72 hours, you can be cured. Using a shrine costs 25 gold and gives you some options like "Cure Disease," and "Heal." After 72hrs you are a Vampire forever according to the in-game books.
