Activating teleporters

How exactly do I turn them on? Chinkash activated the one in the city but after that I checked my spellbook for the spell and it does not appear to be in there. Can you only learn it by watching what chinkash does or will it be added to the spellbook.

The spell will never end up in your spell book. If memory serves me correctly I think an entry is in the journal once you learn the spell from her. If it's not in there then the spell is <mega, spacium>.

Once I collected the right runes, the spell just showed up in my spellbook.
