Does anyone know why the Arx Fatalis 'Official' Forum on their website doesn't work? I presume it's not up yet... In fact... The whole site is probably still a work in progress form the looks of it.

http://www.arxfatalis-online.com

Has anyone heard anything about them setting up their forum?

Hi!

Since the publisher of the game has been changed you can now find the official Arx Fatalis forum on the JoWooD boards: http://forum.jowood.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=57 .

Please note that the Fishtank board will no longer be supported.

Say, how will the german demo differ from the international demo that was released before?

Probably in the language used!! The Jowood forums work and I read somewhere that they would be the only official forums. Not much happening there yet though.

The link works for me, and the game looks like it might be right down my alley as far as games go. I'll probably buy this one.

I bet JoWooD will release another English demo based upon the release build of the game.

I really hope so because i want to see it looking how it should be in the final release!

BTW: The previous demo was very dark with my video card (ATI Rage Fury Pro VIVO) and even with the brightness all up is still dark... i had to raise it manually with the screen options... and i hate to change it every time i enter a game and then when i exit a game etc. etc. Had anyone had the same problem?

No, I had not same problem, but I can suggest PowerStrip. Really nice tool for brightness, resolutions, Hz, overlocking GPU.
It has memory - so when you set something in game (brightness with shortcuts), when you start this game again, your brightness will automaticaly adjusted to higher level.

German demo:

Exactly the same as the english one, just running smoother and with german text and voices. If you have played the english one, don't waste your time with this one. Just rest assured that the glitches have been taken care of.

exactly the same ??? mmhh, I hope you noticed that the controls have changed, so did the physics, the player moves, the crashes are removed, the brightness control, the illumination system, the fighting being more accurate, the game now plays in whatever resolution supported by your system...and many more changes...
