I'm pretty much sick of all the Balmora plug-ins. The only one I really like is the Balmora Market plug-in, but with that addition my framerate dropped in that section of Balmora. Too many NPCs and objects in one cell I guess.
Other than Vivec, Balmora is one of the most visited towns in the game. I want that to change though. I want another town to be the main focus of plug-ins because then I would have a better reason to travel to the east than just mission objects. I want a safe haven to travel to on the Eastern side of the land of Morrowind. I want to see a Balmora of the east, or a Vivec of the East. Balmora nd Vivec are too close together geographically in my opinion.
If I was any good at the editor I would most definatly get to work now. I don't have the time to learn it nor the time to complete a town. Not at the moment anyway. Maybe summer... _________________ (-[ApoK Forever]-) |

that sounds like a great idea. i think there is too much land in the grazelands. The Tel areas are cool, and i visit Sadrith Mora almost as frequently as balmora as they both have fighters/mages/thieves guild quests.
The only problem is that the east is kinda like the 'natives' area and a town wouldn't really fit in with the plot
but it still sounds like a good idea _________________ I may be green now, but i will rise to become the nest!...best! |

Yeah, I was thinking about that whole Eastern = natives thing. Well, why can't the Dumner have their own huge city in the East, comparable to the size of Vivec or the functionality of Balmora, filled with Dumner. If you choose a race other than that of the Dumner, you will look like an outcast and feel like one.
Well in all logical sense, Balmora is a town for the outlanders, and so is Vivec. But compared to the amount of times the outlanders spent on Morrowind, the Native Dumner had obviously lived their much longer, and so should have bigger and more cities than the outlanders. It only makes sense to me. _________________ (-[ApoK Forever]-) |

Well, the Ashlanders are hunters who cling proudly to their village traditions. So I wouldn't look at them to urbanize.
However, since you mention it, one city on that side of the island that could definitely use some development is Vos -- not Tel Vos, but the port town nearby. There's basically nothing to do there at the moment, no shopping, barely any quests, and it can already be easily reached by boat links. Let's see some Vos development mods! Visit beautiful Vos, Gateway to the Grazelands!

There are Dumners who have o problems with Outlanders and deal with Outlanders daily, and the Native Dumner look upon these Dumner as outlanders anyway. What about an inbetween?
Dumners who think that if they urbanize somewhat, they can regain control of their homeland and eventually drive out the Outlanders. Dumners who scoff at the old and primitive ways of the Native Dumner. They can even have their own little quests, directed at the drestruction of the lives of the Outlanders. _________________ (-[ApoK Forever]-) |

i always found the grazelands rather sparce and boring, although a nice atmosphere (contradiction?) What I would like to see woul be the entire grazelands filled with Telvanni-plant-like villages/towers/houses. so that it looks almost like a jungle.
That way it can look like the natives have been there for eras and still maintain the no urbanization rule. (as all the telvanni-plant-buildings are natural right?) _________________ I may be green now, but i will rise to become the nest!...best! |

Thats a good idea too. I'd also like to see much northern towns. Everything seems concentrated to the south.
Also, I'd like to see urban underground towns. That would be very different. Hopefully, resfreshly different. _________________ (-[ApoK Forever]-) |
