Good point dan!! I think that staitment(above) best shows the true difference between the two games and that is just debth. Blizzard is the master at adding debth to a simplistic concept and they will always be. Dungeon Seiges best addition to the RPG genre is the fact that it will bring in new players to the RPG genre. Diablo 2s best addition in my oppinion is not only bringing new people in but making the best character developement system ever seen in a RPG.

D2 and DS are so alike in gameplay, etc, that I can't decide on a best. They both had me in this dang computer chair for hours upon hours.It's kinda like asking me to choose between Corona and Budweiser. "Ahh I don't know!! Just mix em' dude!"

I'd have to say that Diablo II is the superior of the two. Granted, DS has some gorgeous graphics, but the gameplay is not nearly as intuitive (for me at least) and the storyline is extremely weak. I liked the darker, more forebidding atmosphere of D2 as well. I burned out on DS in less than three weeks, while I STILL play D2 from time to time.

what can I say that hasn't already been said.
I like D2 alot more then DS. DS bland crafix and lack of more character choices made if bad. The 3d effects were amazing however.
When they make D3 they should make it a 3rd person view like Gothic.

I don't think there is going to be a Diablo 3. Blizzard always stuff up there story lines and don't have anywhere else to go.
Anyway World of Warcraft is going to be the big roleplaying game they will be working on.

You will have to excuse me if I think that this is quite unlikely, since Blizzard continues to deny Diablo 3 rumors, and their next two games are already revealed: Warcraft III and World of Warcraft. WC III is due for release in the first week of July worldwide, and WoW is unscheduled as yet.
