I read the guide that JemyM wrote, the part about combat, for Gothic 1. I assumed it was the same as in Gothic 2. I've been practising the left-right-left technique and stuff, but I am still unable to defeat the the brawler Moe down at the docks... Is there anything else I need to practise for the combat part in Gothic 2, or do I just simply need more practise altogether? |

Your skills may simply not be high enough. Try training up your strength first so when you hit, it does good damage. Then training in the skill will increase your chance of a hit.
Are you hitting him and just not doing damage? Then train strength or get a better weapon.
Are unable to hit him? Then train in the skill and watch his actions. You should be able to time your moves so you can hit effectively. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

Training your skill makes you swing faster. The % of your skills = critical hits.
So the higher you are trained the more crtical hits you do. _________________ The original RED poster (retired now)
