... but I don't want video. If I did, I'd watch tv. The whole point of an interactive medium is that the surroundings respond to my actions... all of the videos should have been in-game events IMHO. The time making vids would be much better spent improving the game engine so it can depict the events in the vids within game. |

Now that you mention this, I have to agree. In-game cutscenes, such as those in games like Interstate 76 are better than pre-made cutscenes in my opinion. They are also much better because if you have the ability to play a male or female character(or a different race), it's more time consuming and expensive to add in all those variable pre-made cutscenes, but if you have the in-game cutscenes, it saves time and money and in this day and age of developers going under faster than someone jumping into a lake with plate armor, saving time and money is a good thing. |
