Sorry for being late with the news, but I have a complete outage on my cable at home. No TV, no phone, and no internet. So I can only update when I am elsewhere (which is just now). I sincerely hope things will change tomorrow noon - but until then, I will stay rather invisible. But when I am back in full, expect a MAJOR announcement regarding the RPGDot network  . |

*lol* where does the date on Rend's newsbit come from? It's nowhere to be seen on the front page but... it does sound familiar... must have been like a year ago that it was originally posted. There's something fishy about the news comment section of this forum . |

Well whenever someone checks out the comments for a newsbits and there are none, the system generates the newsbit as a new post. So that a reply can be given. If no reply is given within 30 minutes the thread is deleted again.
Merging the forums with our news section is kinda tricky and might be improved, but it requires a lot of hacking in the phpBB code, so I left it at this.

Just out of interest, does the temporary-newsbit-posting code have access to the original post date? Maybe you could include it in the top of the generated post?
