new Gothic site launched

Finally, gothic2.dk is ready for user to 'attack' it
It's a fully english site, with more content about Gothic than you could ever dream of.

the adress is: Gothic2.dk

This site is meant as everyone's site, free for all to post to it what they want. It's also meant as a support for those still playing Gothic, and for Marvin-freaks, since there are major lists of things available in Marvin-
Mode.

It also has the unique feature of english mod-support.

To make a long story short, the site is for ALL kinds Gothicfans, and a place to have a great time.
But to make the site grow, and be a spot where people can come and see new content, and discuss with eachother, people has to believe in our site.

Besides the average user (which also is fully able to easily post content to the site), it would be great with newssubmitters, moderators and so forth. Contact me if you're interested in any way.
One weak point is the Gothic I site's incompability with opera, and there is nothing to do about it, so please don't bring this up.

I'm looking forward to seeing you at gothic2.dk

Who owns and runs this website?

I don't like the way the window resizes to occupy the whole screen when I click on the 'Gothic' link. I've got a big screen... and I don't like one window dominating it.

You are right. I have just removed the screen-resize.
When i started building the site, i didn't think about that (stupid me ). But I assure you, the Gothic II website that is coming to october is going to be much more discreet, with far less grahics for faster loading.

Btw, I own the site
oh, and feel free to register at our messageboard

[update: the site opens in new window after all, since it is more of an advantage for smaller screens]

Whoa! How big is your background pic?

It looks pretty good... but people with 800x600 are not going to enjoy your site! Perhaps you can narrow down the menu page on the left?

Try changing your resolution to 800x600, re-enter the site, and have a look for yourself
btw, why not use our forum for suggestions?

Oh... you autodetect screen size? I changed back to 1152 after 800, and I can see the background repeating. And of course the menu is smaller.

Nice trick. You're a web developer by profession? Student?

ok, I just got some not so nice words from Gorath, telling me to stop 'spamming' for gothic2.dk
Please discuss this further at our boards at gothic2.dk since nobody want any trouble.
