Nek's necklace

I found Nek and got the necklace. Odd, but the Fletcher guy gave me no exp. I did get to keep the necklace but I can't equip it.
Did I do anything wrong...can I not equip the necklace or should I just sell it?

Keep it, and wear it...it is a nice necklace to have early on.

complete other quests in the camp, if you are trying to join Old camp.

As I said, I can't seem to equip it.
I have it active in my inventory window and
when I press CTRL+UP(W) nothing happens.

It's not a bug and you should wear it until you have completed the other quests for the Old camp.
