for tougher opponents i found a great combo that worked most of the time: hit it with a jinxsword, paralyze them for 20 secs, than pull out your default weapon and slash it to death. though it doesn't pump up your block and armor skills as far as 1hand vs 2hand my proficiency was in axe, so for some time i used a 2h axe which very often knocked them down, but after finding a really cool daedric war axe (72 weight 1hand) i started using it with a shield, and got some nice results out of it since i was still able to knock em down often, while at the same time being protected by the additional armor and the chance to block their hits.

Shield/Axe

Does anyone here really use an axe? i heard they're a bit overpowerd, but no one uses them here.

For the record, I am medium armor and have gained tons of points in Block. The ability to completely cancel out a hit is invaluable.
