Well the date of this article is march 22th 2002 so if nintendo wanted to release the game on gamecube, it was probably canceled later |

That's not completely true, Shmaugus. I wouldn't mind those games going to consoles, I just don't want future Gothic games to be simultaneously developed for consoles. As long as it's ported to consoles. _________________ OMG! WTF?! MONKEYS!!!!

At some point there were plans for an Xbox version of G2, but it's safe to say that this is not going to happen anymore. As for the Gamecube tidbit, please ask yourself why in God's name anyone would want to port a game onto the platform with the least compatible audience? (Especially since you'd basically have to code a new engine just for that since the GC lacks a HD and has a lot less RAM than your average PC nowadays. ) |

I agree with u ShadowWolfe
They allready ruined 2 of my most favorite games cos they ported them to console . My Nr 1 game was allways Broken Sword series 1 one was nice 2 one also but 3 one they made it specially for a console and then ported it to pc it was soooo lame looking
The second game that was my Nr2 game was DeusEx series 1 one was awesome but hell they made 2 part for a console again and again they ruined it totally it was like animated DeusEx 1 remake |

This has been discussed before.
Gothic on a console would be a big mistake. Its not the right type of game for that audience. Too much thinking and not enough instant gratification. _________________ IMHO my opinion is humble |
