Do not worry, they managed to compress a whole test world into 10 KB.

i read somewhere that they developed an outstanding compression algorithm for graphic files and hence data files... i think i read that in either a preview (doubtful) or from a developer post (most likely)...

Wizardry - 3 CD
Baldurs Gate - 3 CD (I think)

Well, it is really interesting that Morrowind is on one.

It is nearly unbelievable, but yes, it is true. The press beta occupies less than 650 MB on the HD.

3D worlds are always smaller in CD space than 2D worlds, such as BG. Simply because the graphics are not prerendered.

Well Gothic is only just 1GB and then you don't need the cd!

Drooool. 1 CD means I can even fit it on my hard drive without uninstalling any game at all

About Gothic; Remember that half of the installation space is taken by
the speeches. The game itself is on one CD, the second CD contains only
the voices.

If my memory isn't failing me, isn't the announced minimum requirement 1 Gb HD space? Or is it 650 plus a swap file while playing?

By the way, how big are the save files? Deux Ex ones were huge! Daggerfall's somewhat big (at least in my old 486 with 500Mb HD)...
