Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion (Xbox 360) - X05 Hands-On @ TeamXb |
|
The X05 event previews continue to flow with TeamXbox shaking out some hands-on impressions of Oblivion:
Though it has been several months since we last gazed about the upcoming RPG, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, the anticipation for the game hasn’t dwindled in the slightest. The previous Xbox game was a fan favorite for the “Power of X” crowd, but proved to be a little intimidating to the more casual gamer. Oblivion is hoping to please both crowds by having all the depth that any role-playing nut would want, plus it will incorporate a more lenient interface and control system for Joe Gamer to enjoy. X05 was the first time we’ve had a chance to get our hands-on the game, and despite all the house music thumping away at the venue’s party-like atmosphere, we came away simply wanting more…much more.
|

Why do i always get sick to my stomach when i here developers are trying to appease the casual gamers? For once i would like a developer to say, "we are making this game for the hard-core gamer". Also, how can anyone be intimidated by Morrowind? It wasn't that complex. |

I could not agree more. I recently tried Fable on the PC. The second or third tool tip that poped up said; "The flashing green light on your mini map tells you exactly where to go next."
I immeadiately uninstalled it. |
