| Could the Curse be broken? |

As any baseball fan knows, the Cubs and Red Sox are both the League Championship Series for each league. The Cubs and Marlins have played two games and are tied at one game apiece. The Red Sox and their rivals the Yankees have played one game, and the Red Sox won that game. My question to anyone who reads this and likes baseball: Can the Red Sox or the Cubs win the World Series? Will on of the curses be broken? I sure hope so.

As I don't know the teams involved (or even the rules of the game, for that matter), maybe you could enlighten me - do you just hope one of them will win, or do you think one will win?
Basically what I'm getting at is: what's different this year from all previous years?

@cfmdobbie- What makes this year different from other years is that a team that has not the Series in 85 (the Boston Red Sox) years and a team that has not won the Series in 95 (the Chicago Cubs) years are in the final round of the playoffs at the same time. Since they are in different leagues, the only way they can face each other is in the World Series (yeah, "World" is just American arrogance, *sigh*). I am not going to try to teach you the rules, partly because it would take forever, and partly because I don't think you want to hear them anyway. The two teams mentioned above are said to have curses on them to keep them from winning a World Series ever.
@Pikkon- I like soccer too, and yes, I am an American (I know, we suck  lol).

You know, I kind of hope that run of bad luck lasts a bit longer then. How much cooler would it be to not have won the series for a hundred years before succeeding? Now that's dedication!
