My fan-made Gothic 2 review.

Slight spoilers on how the game advances, but nothing there to ruin the experience for you, IMHO.

TONS of screenshots.. I took about five hundred in total and what you see on that page is my best 68 or so.

Wow, that's a long review. I'll read it in toto as soon as I find the time - just one thing in advance: GII was published in the German-speaking countries in late 2002 (end of November), not March 2003.

Thanks for the info.

I scoured the internet for a good while looking for it, and found release dates for the game. A lot were March 2003, so that's what I put. I'll correct it now.

Awesome review - better than any english review prepared by so-called 'professionals' that I've read to date - and I think I've read them all.

Also, I found no secret caves or tunnels by swimming underwater

Actually... there is at least 1 cave in G2 that can only be accessed by swimming underwater. If you want to find it yourself, stop reading...

As you come down the path into the old world, you will pass an npc (can't remember his name). From there you will see the river. Get in the river and head downstream (toward the bridge that takes you to the castle). You will see a large mound in the river. There are two entry points, both underwater, that will lead to some goodies inside that mound.

Wow.. I did not find that cave. I'll make that correction now as well.

Thanks a lot for the warm fuzzy of a compliment of my review!

Keep the corrections coming, because I don't like being wrong for long.
