Shorter demo? No, the game has been delayed to next year and Dreamcatcher told me there wouldn't be a demo until after the game was released. _________________ Editor @ RPGDot |

The site says D.W. Bradley ("Wizadry Fame") was the creator and developer of this game. Wizadry was the magic word, I preordered. Could anyone refresh me on this? Was wizadry8 ,Sirtech, still influenced by him? I'll google anyway. I hope for another Wizadry game this mellenium. |

Bradley was the lead designer of Wizardry 6 & 7, maybe also 5. He left the company after 7 and made Wizards & Warriors.
Dungeon Lords has absolutely nothing in common with Wizardry. Bradley always talks about the action packed real-time combat (-> Diablo clone ?), the German publisher keeps repeating again and again that it has a great story and is influenced by Gothic and Morrowind. Both games sold either superb or pretty good in Germany, so "being like them" is good for DL.
The bottom line is: we know nothing except the things you can see on screenshots. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

For some time I hoped this one would be something like Wizardry 9. But it most certainly doesn't look like sequel of Wizardry series. |

The previews I've seen / read compare more with Gothic II, with larger size of world (but not Morrowind scope), with combat a bit more satisfying, more like Blade of Darkness. If that is true, it will be a truly enjoyable game.

I watched the trailer, but based on it alone it's difficult to say anything, apart from the fact that the combat is definitely going to be action-based.
I just hope D.W. Bradley can make everything work out well, I mean he's of course a well-known rpg-developer and I have quite enjoyed his previous works, but at the same time I'm somewhat suspicious of all the action-type elements that seem to be in the game. Whether it works or not, remains to be seen.
Nevertheless, if it turns out to have a depth of say Wizardry and playability of Gothic, it all sounds very good. |

*confused* why would you think it was in any way related to wizardry?
anyway, since i know nothing about it except what i see officially, i'm loathe to pigeonhole it. it does look purdy and from the clips, looks like it'll be fun to play. however, i'm more anxious to see what the storyline is like. that's what'll make it or break it for me.

Dani was just hoping the game would have a similar style to the Wizardry games. He's a big fan of the Wizardry series. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

there's some bugs...sure...like the map problem *cries*...but overall this is one of the sweetest games i've seen in a long time. if anyone figures anything out...anything that's tricky...like "how the heck do i talk to the elf elders", then plz post here...spoilers, tricks and techniques would all be appreciated.

The elders I believe you can see them when youve talked to the woman in the inn, after you have the quest from the way of the tiger.
The elder elf test part is really fun. Youre probably ready for it I had a tough time but my guy was level 8 |

Yes, most certainly.
Well, because there seems to be no activity around Wizardry sequel, I hoped, this one will be somehow related to Wizardry series.
The reason why I thought so, is hidden here:

Now I know this game has nothing to do with Wizardry. Don't take me wrong, I like a lot of games, I liked Diablo. I'll possibly like Dungeon Lords, but still... |

Remember, that Grimoire is coming and it's VERY much like Wizardry. You'll really enjoy it when it's released. _________________ If God said it, then that settles it!
