You know…I’ve been searching my ass off for underwater surprises in G2 had haven’t found any yet. I look behind waterfalls, in lakes and even in the ocean…that’s when I got eaten by that worm thingy…and nothing. I was really starting to get depressed about this. G1 had all kinds of underwater surprises.
I lost track on the number of times a drowned trying to explore the sunken houses in the lake by the old Merc camp. But now your post has given me new hope…I must strive to look harder…

Where are you searching?? In the harbor, near Lares?? You need to go the part of the ocean where the paladin's ship is lying.

Wellll…After I became lunch for the worm thingy…I kind of laid off the beach bathing. Too hazardous to my health.

To find that worm thingy just swim straight ahead for some time until you meet it.

Speaking of things in the water, are there large sharks out there? A couple of times I have seen a shadowy figure in the distance that looks like a shark, but the only large fish I have seen up close was not a shark and did not attack (this was in a ship wreck off coast of lighthouse/khorinis).

Thanks for the tips though. I guess I will go treasure hunting more and search for this little wormie.

I couldn't find any treasure under the paladin ship. I think this guy is just trying to bullshit you all. If you swim 25-30 seconds from the paladin ship, as I'd tried long before reading this post, you simply get too far out and get eaten by the serpent. You also can't interact with any items while underwater. However, there are a couple of areas you can get to through water.

One is in the old world, behind a waterfall close to the mining camp on the far right of the castle. The other is if you swim along the wall from the thieves guild, away from the city, you'll find a bunch of shipwrecked places with a few scattered items and chests, and if you swim further out, you'll find a sunken ship, and an island with lizards and a hidden cave with lots of chests and a spike trap (you can get the key for the chests from the lady in the hotel, by giving her Lehmar's ledger).

Yeah, but what you found is not what the original poster was talking about. I think most people on the forum knew about the island with the lizards and the spike trap.

The orignal post in this thread was about a cave you could reach from *underwater* that was in the vicinity of the Palladin's ship. I haven't found anything related to that. So either it is very well hidden and we're not looking good enough, or the poster was actually talking about the island cave with lizards (which is no big secret).

So perhaps Ruskie right and we've been sent on a wild goose chase.
