Does anyone know if Ultiam VII came out on the Amiga? and if it was as good as or better than the PC version?

Well this is weird. For the description of the Ultima collection on Amazon it has this:

Comments: New - : New - BRAND NEW SEALED BOX INCLUDES: 10 Classic Games in One Pack:Ultima Collection,Dungeon Keeper,688(I) Hunter Killer,NASCAR Revolution SE ,Fighter Pilot ,Need for Speed 2,PGA Tour Gold ,+MORE

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/offering-page/ref=sdp_new_vg/103-0462634-1907810?index=fixed-price&field-offering-type=new&field-asin=B000028U20&field-status=open&size=25&rank=+price

Is that right???

I think it was. I'm not sure though.
That must be someone selling all their old games at once.

I dont think so. It says its from a company. And the title is Ultima Collection. That same description is listed for all 3 of the choices. I doubt there is much chance that three companies would be selling the exact same collection of old games.

Doesnt make any sense to me.

It means that it is a ultimate collection of some good games.

The first two are a repeat. The last one is different. I think it's just a bunch of games bundled together.

I hope so. Wouldnt want to order it and find out that its just a collection of crappy games with one or two Ultimas thrown in the make up for it.

Dungeon Keeper isn't a crappy game. I don't know about the others though.

I owned the game back in 92. It managed to survive a few moves, but the map was long lost somewhere between Germany and Alberta and Nova Scotia. The game disks are 5 1/4. Was it was wrong of me to download the game when I already technically owned it but could no longer install it or find the map?

I paid for the game once (and never regretted a penny spent on it)... in my opinion that entitles me to install it and play it in whatever manner renders it compatible with current technology.

I've always gotten cracks for games I legally own. Some of the old style copy protections in particular are just too annoying to allow to survive. My friends and I had to make something like four photocopies of the Curse of the Azure Bonds wheel because that sucker just kept getting lost...

I was curious about the long and lat numbers as well. I just started a new game using Exult and got stuck on the mayor. I do own a copy of the collectors edition. Are the answers in a readme somewhere on the CD? Thanks.

I'll check out the install guide, thanks. As far as downloading a game you bought even though you don't have the map anymore, that should be alright as long as you have the disks still (that meets the technical definition, I'd feel okay if I bought the game but the disks were lost/broken).

This is taking copy writing a little to far. I"m all for not pirating all software but this borders on sheer stubborness and stupidity. Here's exults take on who owns Ultima 7 and whether it has a license at all:

http://exult.sourceforge.net/faq.php#is_exult_free

Get a life!

2.8. Where do I find Ultima 7 on the net to download?
Don't! You may be able to find it on the net but it would be pirating the game and the Exult team doesn't support pirates. Look for the Ultima Collection in stores or on EBay (http://www.ebay.com).

Don't ask the team for copies. Don't ask on the forum for copies, your post and the entire thread will be deleted. And please don't ask for the answers to the copyright questions.

Seems plain enough to me what their opinion is.
