Ok I got tired of him and he wouldn't go away. He was talking every 2 minutes so I whacked him once with my rusty sword just to see what would happen. He really took off running.

Will this turn out to be a bad idea?

If you like, Mud can be your personal punching bag.

I... uh... avoided him. I once even punched him, but I couldn't have killed him. He's just the village idiot.

I eventually killed him too ... but I regretted it afterwards but he was really getting on my nerves.

Me: Taking down Kirgo, take one. Fight!
Mud: Can we go somewhere comfortable and chat?
Hero: ARGH!
Me: Dammit!
Me: Taking down Kirgo, take two. Fight!
Mud: Do you like animals?
Hero: ARGH!
Me: Gahdammit!
Me: Taking down Kirgo, take three. Fight!
Mud: Do you have any idea what we're doing?
Hero: ARGH!
Me: Gahbuggeryflowerydammit!
Me: Taking down Kirgo, take four. Fight!
Mud: You're my best friend!
Hero: ARGH!
Me: Bloodybloodyhellbuggerdammit!
Me: Taking down Mud, take one. DIE!

If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try try try, try, try ... try again, then kill Mud. ;3

Yes, he is evil! Lure him into a buidling (like the Arena) and finish him of... mwahahahah!

Well, i gave him a chance, i took him down, but didn't kill him, i did that like two times, but he returned! Stupid.

If you stick close to the wall where Mud sits in front of his hut, you will never activate him. Of course beating up the little biatch is more fun
