Only two cities remain, the rest lie in ruin or hidden deep beneath the rubble of what once was. There are two towns; Elvine and Aresden, the inhabitants of each respectively worship the gods Eldiniel and Aresien. As these two gods are in discord, so are their worshippers. However, as these zealots fight amongst themselves, a far greater threat menaces them all and is threatening the existence of humanity. This is the biggest challenge humankind has faced so far, and it is demanding great heroes, heroes that can unite a divided people and overcome the forces of evil.

Besides dungeon exploration, warfare and leveling there are a variety of other skills to pursue. The less combat related ones are Mining, Fishing, Alchemy, and Manufacturing. In addition, players are active in their guilds, taking part in tournaments either using the arena or the "Bleeding Island", training for combat, taking part in hunting trips, raiding the opponents town, and so on.

The pounding of armor and screams of agony echo across the vast wastelands as another young warrior marches toward the battlefield. His chance has finally come to prove his worthiness in the ultimate test of bravery in the face of combat. Welcome traveler, to the realm of Helbreath.
