I recently wen't into the new camp's free mind for the first time after i became a guard in the old camp, i climbed up around and dropped down (interesting bug: press the straife button either direction over and over when you fall and you will not get hurt)
and talked to some miner, he offered me a weapon if i can get him some simple items.

Coming accross these items has proven difficult, and i have never seen grapes so far in the game. is there an easy way you can get these items? The weapon he speaks of sounds pretty usefull if i can get my hands on it.

The quest is completely irrelevant. You can buy grapes in the NC. One of the merchants sells them.
Maybe you can find the exact name with the search function.

I hate to burst your bubble, but the weapon, Nelik's Sword, has already been taken by Max Killen.
