I like Tolkien style worlds too. But PS:T was such a wonderful surprise and a refreshing change for RPG settings.
I like a mixture of Open ended and directed gameplay. Admittedly, PS:T was very linnear. I think Gothic is probably the best balance of that I have seen. PS:T & BG are completely opposite ends of the spectrum in that regard. _________________ IMHO my opinion is humble |
