just getting started

I am still in the first monastary before leaving for Anrika. I found the key in treasure chest, but haven't used it yet. Do I need the item inside the glass cube (piece of paper or something)? And are the items behind the see through wall (around the exit to road to Anrika) neccessary ?

For a direct answer to your questions: No, you don't need the items behind the glass wall (just some weapons if I recall). Yes, you probably want the paper, but I don't think it's critical.

For a good walkthough of the game I recommend:

But it's better not to use walkthroughs unless you get stuck for a while! It takes away too much of the fun.

Hello,

I think Bilbo is right when he says "do not use walktrough". If you have some questions. Come here and we will give you answers, but we will try to spoil you as little as it will be possible. Walktrough will spoil you completely and take some fun from you.

I will give you just one little hint:

closed door will remain closed for several more days, but one day you will probably know that you need to return

A little further hint that's not a spoiler:
Check your journal about what the shaman said to do. Right area, but you're a little bit off in what you're attempting.
