For those of you thinking that upgrading to GF4 will help with framerates and such, you might want to wait bit. At least for a patch maybe.
I have:
Iwill Intel 845 mobo/400mhz bus/ATA100
P4 1.6 proc
256mb DDR ram (I know I should bump this up to 512)
Visiontek GF4 Ti4600 (thanks to my tax refund this year!)
WD 20 gb/ATA 100/7200 rpm HDD
W2K Pro
And I am getting very choppy video. I am not overclocked on anything and I have the latest drivers for everything. I have turned down my resolution to 800x600 and turned off shadows. I still get the choppiness, but not as bad. It also seems to be less evident in 3rd person mode, so I have been playing that way.
Great game but I am dissappointmented that I had to turn down the settings to play. I plan on reloading my system from scratch tonight to see if that helps. |

Heh! You're scaring me!  I have an AthlonXP1500, 512Mb DDR Ram, GeForce 3. I hope the game runs smoothly in this system or... How the hell will they mak it runs smoothly in the XBOX?????!!!!!!! XBOX has even more limitations than my machine (P3 733MHz) although has a vid card similar to the GeForce4.
