Xen - could you help me with this? |
|
Xen,
A while ago you supplied a link to the 3.5 rules ... http://www.wizards.com/D20/article.asp?x=srd35
It no longer functions. I guess the d20 people figured out they could charge for their product. Anyway, I was wondering if there was another source like that out there.
Also, since you are the local D&D guru, is there a good page for things like character sheets etc? My son has finally browbeaten me into agreeing to run a campaign for him and his two friends. Given the ages are 14, 12 and 10 this should quickly degenerate (despite my best efforts) into a slaughter fest. Are there any good pregenerated slaughter fests out there I can start them off with?
Not sure if you need this info, but they are interested in playing a bunch of orc slaying rangers (sorry Jaz). _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=

Can't really help with the link, as when I just clicked on it in your message it loaded just fine... if they ever took it down they'd have a hoarde of nasty gamers flaming them every which way.
As for the kiddies... Well, Return to Temple of Elemental Evil is a complete campaign in and of itself. It's very hack heavy which means they'll have plenty of opportunity to hack down orcs.
No suggestions on how to avoid the 'degeneration', as when I was 14 I was gleefully hacking down orcs with my characters. It is... inevitable.
For character sheets I always have and always will use Mr Lined Paper, and Mr Pencil. There are a lot around, though. Starting with the official one, of course:

Hmm, about the link it *does* work now. Interesting. But then my internet here died shortly after I'd written to you.
Personally, I agree about Mr Lined Paper, but I've got help the kiddies get organized ... and I *don't* feel like managing their characters as well as the rest of the world.
Thanks for the suggestions. _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=

Then the official character sheets are the way to go... they're clear, concise, and most importantly they match everything in the Player's Handbook. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi
