Mt. Gigas Caves - Pressure Plate????

While walking around in the caves of Mt. Gigas, I came upon a pressure plate in the Norhtern Section. When I step on the plate I can hear what sounds like a large boulder rolling, or some-sort of rock door opening; but as soon as I step off the plate, the door sounds like it closes. What does this plate do?

It opens a small chamber that's a little further up the cave. Take some rocks (sling ammo) and put it on the plate. That will hold the plate down, keep the door open, and allow you to raid the little treasure room.

Excuse me while I wipe the embarassment off my face; that is the most logical thing I ever heard, and I would probably never thought of it. Thanks

This is why 4 out of 5 of my friends would choose me to be with them if they were stuck on a desert island. That and I could build the Swiss Family Robinson tree house. My other friend choose Brad Pitt, I guess she didn't want to live very long.

Heh

Rocks.

Duh.

I actually set a portal in front of the door (which you can notice), stepped on the plate, the cast return to portal and walked in before it closed.

Talk about a waste of spell points.

It worked, though, even if it was a bit like killing cockroaches with a bazooka (a scenario that is entirely logical in certain areas of this game).

I think your solution is far more elegant. Sometimes the simple solution is soooo boring.
