When is Gothic 2 officially supposed to be released? I've heard all these different dates, so I can't be sure. And it's oh-so-painful having to wait for it ... I heard somewhere (I think here @ RPGdot) that it was gonna be released in September! But that seems to good to be true, as I haven't even heard of it going into beta testing yet. But it would be an awfully nice "back to school" present! |

As it looks right now, the release dates will be just as Val said. There will be no public beta testing. _________________ Jaz |

But beta testing is vital to how many bugs we find in the game. We (or I) dont want too many bugs in the game... |

Why are you against public beta testing? Maybe those "workers" won't be able to find bugs that a normal player would find? Some players are, lets say, experienced in finding bugs. _________________ One ring to rule them all, One ring to find them, One ring to bring them all, and in the darkness spite them. Public beta testing means that anybody can join. And that means anybody. Beta testing still means that they would get bunch of people external to the company (some hints were made that they would actually look through few fan boards that exist like this one) and have them be beta testers. There is nothing wrong with that. The only public beta tests these days (and ever, pretty much) are done for online games where they need thousands of people to stress test the networking parts. _________________ (@) |

OK, but the more people testing, the less chance of any bug presence in the game, right? And of course everybody would like a less buged games, and I am not talking about MeatBugs _________________ One ring to rule them all, One ring to find them, One ring to bring them all, and in the darkness spite them.
