hi

I am in chapter 2 and a second circle mage.

I am going to the valley of mines for the first time any advice on what I should have with me as a mage to make life easier?

What is a good weppon to kill orcs with? The only rune I got is the fire arrow

You don't have to fight any orcs untill chapter 4 so I wouldn't worry about fighting with them, you have to find ways of sneaking past them instead.

Hmmm level 9/10 thats to low.
If i were you i should train untill level 18/20or if you dont like training till level 15/16.

First get some more levels.Then learn the Large Fire Ball rune 300 damage
75 mana and rise your mana up.The best one handed weapon in chapter2 is the Orc Slayer but you have to find it first(take a look over the pyramid).
Here is a tip how to kill Orcs.Go and stand on the wooden ramp (the alternative entrance to the castle) and from there you can kill Orcs safetely cause they cant reach you.

You can't learn Large fireball untill the end of chapter 3. I remember the first time I played I was only on level 16 at the begining of c4and i still managed.

Lvl 9 is high enough. The strongest thing you HAVE to fight is snappers. If you have the xbow requiring 40 dex, it takes 2 shots max on a snapper.

Its running into a minefield you got to do missions etc. i dont think he would survive that.
