Looking for Gothic tweaks for better performance |
|
I looked threw about 5 pages of the forum and couldnt find anything on tweaking the game to make it run faster. I have a subpar PC that i have played gothic on a while ago.
AMD k62 333mhz
128mb
geforce2MX
Suprizingly the game ran farely well and i was able to beat the game. Now i want to play it again and join a diff camp. Gothic is bye far the best single player game i have ever played.
Thanks for takin a peek at my post. if anyone has any Gothic tweaks to make the game run faster would be nice. im not so much worried about visuals so any graphic tweaks would be helpfull.
thanks again

Sorry to say it, Peep, but nothing will improve the performance on your system. I´m even surprised it ran well. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

Actually, you could shut the music off, that would give the cpu a break(but not a big brake though). Since you have an ok graph. card, you dunnot need to lower the model detail settings(but don't go over 50&), but to make walking more bareable lower texture details(this is compulsory; that way you're giving hdd a break, and that will help the most). And, ofcourse the wiev distance .
And, the fixed size of the windows swap will always help!
Other than that there's nothing you can do, not to mention that even this won't help enough, and it still won't run smoothly.
