Gothic crashes when I try to save the game

Hi everyone!

First of all, excuse my English, but I'm Spanish A friend of mine has a problem with the game. I've been searching something like this in the forum, but I didn't find nothing, so there it goes:

When he tries to save, the game crashes to desktop. It goes just well until he saves. Here is the notification failure:

GOTHIC 1.08J has caused an access violation at address 7c911010h by attempting to "read" from address 00000034h

DS=0023h EAX= 20h
ES=0023h EBX= 0h
FS=0038h ECX= 7FFDE000h

He has tried everything: updating the graphics card's drivers, disabling the sound, cheking that the virtual memory is enough... but it haven't solved anything. He has played Gothic II and Night of the Raven, and they went just well. Please, can you help him?

Thanks a lot people See ya!

NOTE: don't tell me about updating the game to 1.08K, because the spanish version doesn't have that patch

Man, this is incredible...

There wasn't any 'Saves' folder in the main folder of the game! Trully incredible. After three waiting for the reedition of the game and the expansion of the second part, they brought them to us with incorrect translations and troubles of this kind.

Thanks Nobilis...

Well, thank you anyway guys. See ya
